What you will need

- QGIS - an open source gis program you can download it here

- Your imagery or your map that is already georefrenced

In this example we will take a tiff file download from aerial imagery processed using mapsmadeeasy. But you can use any georeferenced file. You can even style your own maps.

Steps

1. Download your file

2. Bring it into QGIS

3. Re-project it to web mercator (3857)

4. Tile it using QGIS tools

5. Zip it up

Follow these instructions to get imagery into the app
