How to add water quality monitoring sites and enter data on the NRDS Aina mobile app

Collecting Water Quality Data on the NRDS Aina Mobile App

  1. Log in and before you go out and collect data, make sure to FETCH data from the web app

  2. Switch to offline mode if you want to use the app with no connection easily

  3. To collect a water quality monitoring point

    1. Click the plus button in the bottom right of your screen

    2. Select "Water Quality Monitoring"

    3. Fill in the form

      1. Click which site you would like to use for this monitoring point by clicking "site name"

      2. You can add photos by pressing the "Add Photos" section at the bottom of the form and either use your camera or add from your library.

      3. Don't forget to press SAVE in the top right when you are done with your form

  4. If you do not see the site you want on the monitoring list, you can add a new site.

    1. Select the PLUS button then choose "water quality site"

    2. Press the blue plus button in the top right hand corner to add a new site

    3. Fill out the form and press SAVE

      1. You can either draw a new point on the map by pressing "create" or enter coordinates of a previous point to make it a Water Quality Site

  5. Once you are done you can press SAVE

  6. Once you are back with a connection you can switch back to online mode and PUSH the data to ensure your monitoring points are updated onto the web app.
