Seabird Monitoring Burrow Check - Mobile

Checking and creating seabird nest monitoring, camera, checks and species observations. Taking photos and recording, taxa, mortality.

This short article describes adding, checking, updating a seabird burrow for monitoring. It also shows how to check a camera and perform an observation outside of a burrow check. Questions or comments contact sam@nrds.io

For all of the below actions, please Log in and FETCH data before you start

Adding a New Burrow

  1. Click the PLUS button

  2. Click "Burrow (new point)"

  3. Press SAVE

  4. Now you can add checks

Adding a Burrow Check

  1. Fill out the burrow check form

  2. You can add a camera location by pressing "Add Camera Location"

  3. After you are done filling out the form make sure to press SAVE

Updating a Burrow

  1. To select the burrow you want to update:

    1. You can search for an existing burrow using the search on the top of the map

    2. You can also just click the burrow directly on the map and click "Data"

  2. After you find the burrow you are looking for, you can click "Check" and it will automatically bring you to the burrow check form.

  3. You can also click on the camera location if there is an existing one to see when past camera checks were and/or add a check by filling out the camera check form

  4. If you want to change the mortality or taxon of a burrow, you can add a species observation to update the burrow (species observation tutorial).
