When you embed a survey within another, you can set the question to select from another template's surveys

STEPS:

1) Click Templates

2) Click Edit for the template you want to edit or click Add Template to make a new template

3) Click Add Question, then add Label (question name)

4) Type must be Select or Multi-select

5) For Source either search for or scroll to Templates and select it

6) Now you can choose which survey you want to pull data from:

  1. Template - Select the survey template you want to pull data from

  2. Questions - Select which questions you want to appear in the survey

  3. Add/edit permission - Check the box if you want to have the ability to add or edit a survey entry to the survey you are pulling from while you are completing the new survey

  4. Add Filter - Click this if you want to filter the question results

  5. Field - Select which category from 2. Questions you want to filter by

  6. Value - Select which value within the category you want to filter by

7) Click Save, then test your embedded survey to ensure survey is working how you want it

MOBILE USE:

If you add a filter to an embedded survey, a filter icon will be present during survey entries which allows you to:

  • Filter the results by categories selected

  • Change/remove the categories filtered by as needed

The filter icon will change when the question is:

EXAMPLE (from video):

Situation: I am doing an outreach event and filling out my Outreach Events survey. My question "Contacts Present" has an embedded survey with a filter. I filtered this question by Contact Type, Staff because only staff members would be present at this events so I only want to see contacts who fall into that category.

This what the template looks like for my question "Contacts Present":

If I wanted to edit a survey after it has already been embedded, I can go into edit survey and press the edit button on the right hand side of my survey name

This brings up a pop up window with the embedded survey that I can change as needed

After I am done editing my survey I can click "Save" on the bottom of the form and it will take me back to my initial survey
