How to find a feature on the map and get there

There are multiple ways to navigate to a feature.

  • Find Your Feature

    • Find the location in the feature menu or survey menu and click the navigation arrow

      OR

    • Type the name of your feature in the search bar at the top of your screen and click the navigation arrow

      OR

    • Press the feature icon on the map and the Navigate to button on the drawer that pops up

      OR

    • Select your survey, click the three dots in the top right of your screen, then select show on map.

THEN

  • Select Navigate To when the Zoom/Navigate menu pops up

  • A line will show up on the map along with the distance in the drawer

  • As you follow the line the distance in the drawer will decrease until you find your destination

  • Click "End Nav" to end the navigation

Enter Coordinates

Sometimes you may not know the name of a point or have someone send you coordinates, you can navigate that way as well!

  1. Long press the "current location dot" on the top left of your screen (it looks like a target)

  2. A window will pop up prompting you to enter the latitude and longitude of your point

  3. Copy and Paste or type in the coordinates of your desired location

    • Make sure the coordinates you enter are in Latitude, Longitude format and not reversed

  4. Press GO and your screen will automatically zoom to that location.

Navigation Settings

You can now change the color of your navigation line to optimize your mapping experience.

  • Select the stack button on the top left of your NRDS app and select settings

  • Scroll down and you will see the option to make your navigation line color Black, White, Grey, or Red

  • Now your line should be whichever color you picked and more visible on your map!
