Sample Trap Detections

Uploading Detections From A Spreadsheet

There are two ways to enter detections

  • You could enter them in the subform of the sample traps

  • You could download a spreadsheet with the sample trap data fill in the detections on the spreadsheet and upload them

First download a spreadsheet with the vials you are recording detections for

1. Navigate to the dashboard called "Detection Template"

2. Filter for the dates or session you want to download

3. Download the spreadsheet

Next open up the spreadsheet and enter your ants in the ant1 , ant 2, ant 3 columns

  1. Do not change the order of columns

  2. Taxon should match the database exactly

  3. The feature id field is what will link the spreadsheet to the original trap record the other fields are for reference

Next upload the spreadsheet

1.Navigate to the upload survey

2. Click the upload button on the top right

3. Drag and drop or navigate to the spreadsheet

4. The data should populate and you would be warned if there is an issue

5. If you have an issue update the data and redo the upload

6. Click "Import Surveys" at the bottom of the screen

All Done!!!
