Using the New Click Function in the NRDS Mobile App
1. Open the new click function on the map 0:00
The video demonstrates the new click function in the NRDS mobile app.
This update is meant to make map interactions less confusing when a click returns many items.
Instead of showing one long list right away, the app now helps you drill into features more clearly.
2. Click a clustered item to zoom in 0:18
When you click on a point cluster, the map zooms into that cluster.
The cluster is then split into smaller groups so you can get closer to the individual features.
Keep clicking as needed until you reach the specific item you want.
3. Select an individual feature 0:36
Once the cluster has been broken down far enough, you can click on an individual feature.
The app will then display that specific feature instead of a large grouped list.
If multiple items overlap, the app provides navigation controls to move through them.
4. Use next and previous to cycle through overlapping items 0:36
If features overlap, the app shows Next and Previous options.
Use these controls to pan through overlapping items one at a time.
This makes it easier to inspect items that sit on top of each other on the map.
5. Apply the same behavior to all feature types 0:45
The new click behavior works for:
Points
Lines
Polygons
And generally most other map features
The goal is to keep the map organized and make feature selection easier across different geometry types.
6. Review the benefit of the update 0:45
This feature helps reduce confusion when clicking on dense map areas.
It organizes results more intuitively by letting you zoom into clusters and inspect items individually.
Overall, it improves map usability in the NRDS mobile app.
