Exploring The NRDS Web Map

How to effectively use the NRDS web map, including navigation, drawing, editing, and saving features.

1. Opening the Web Map 0:00

  • Click on the sidebar to open the NRDS web map.

2. Navigating the Map 0:15

  • Use the toggle button on the top left to enable map motion.

  • Utilize zoom buttons or the slider to zoom in and out.

  • Use the mouse wheel or click and drag to pan around the map.

3. Drawing Points and Polygons 0:43

  • Select the draw tool to create a point or polygon.

  • For a point:

    • Click on the map to place a point.

    • Fill in the form that appears to name and save the point.

  • For a polygon:

    • Select the polygon tool and draw on the map.

    • Double-click to save and fill in the form.

  • Click on the polygon you want to edit and select the edit option.

  • Use the pencil tool to drag nodes and change geometry.

  • Use the move feature to reposition the entire polygon.

  • Use the cut feature to clip sections of the polygon.
